New Mechanoactivity in Materials

Two newly accepted manuscripts describe enhanced covalent mechanochemical activity in bulk materials.  Greg, Gihan, Jerry, Garret and co-workers have shown that covalent chemistry can be activated in the bulk in concert with full shape recovery (ACS Macro Lett.), using PDMS based materials that allow for mechanochemical patterning.  Meanwhile, Ashley and co-workers show that electrospinning ABA triblocks can lead to enhanced mechanochemical activity relative to pure homopolymer films (Faraday Discuss.).  Congrats to all on this nice work.
