John Deng, Crumbliss Fellow!

Great news for John Deng, who has been selected as the 2017 Alvin L. Crumbliss Summer Research Fellow, which is awarded annually to “one meritorious summer research fellow” in chemistry. This fellowship was established in 2011 by the Dean of Academic Affairs Lee D. Baker “in honor of Professor Crumbliss’s leadership as Dean of Trinity College of Arts and Sciences and recognizes his commitment to undergraduate research.”  Only one Duke undergraduate is so recognized each year, and John was chosen on the basis of all of the progress he made over the summer, and on the high level of engagement and sophistication with which he approached his research, oral presentations, and final poster.  Way to go, John!
